When I'm in LOVE!

They say that love begins with a simple friendship
With an artless smile that leads into courtship
Other says love begins with "one hello"
Many promises made that you can't let go.

But hearken me as I share to you
My love story began with a joke it's true
A joke that is meant to be for fun
But I take it too seriously where love had began.

We're "star-crossed lovers" I used to say
Like Romeo and Juliet in Shakespeare's play
Young and forbidden love we share together
Till death do we part cause of a "scarlet letter."

I can be Jack for my beloved Rose
That sinks in the deepest part of the ocean and froze
Keep your promise and never let go
Cause my heart goes on though I'm six feet below.

If changing myself is the key for you to love me
Then I'll be Landon and you'll be my Jamie
Unconditional love is the thing I can only offer
Forever and ever our love will remember.

I think our love would be eternal
If I can make you like me an "Immortal"
I can be Edward, you can be my Bella
Or in my own story, I can be Suna and you're my Moona

I know these things are not meant to be true
Because love is not easy as fantasy you knew
Happy endings only happen in fairy tale
But my love for you is beyond compare!

Sunshine

I wake up each day of my life full of smile
Though it feels like I’ve travelled for a ten thousand mile
I rise up with my sun that shines upon me
Beautiful as the raindrops falling with glee.

Never did I imagine this thing would happen
Falling in love again? It’s not in my plan
But I’ve met a very sweet woman
Who turned me into a complete man.

She once said “I have a pen, my pen is blue
I have friend, my friend is you.”
She’s the reason behind this written poem
We shared each words not just my own,

All my life I’ve been searching for you for so long
To help me put my words into rhyme like a song
Now that I’d  found you, the missing piece of my heart
Together, forever we’ll never be apart.

I promise to love you until I die
I swear to God not to make you cry
When the summer sun turns into winter and its cold
I will always love you when you are old!

When Man Learns?!

It’s been a long, long years ago
When teaching began to grow
The chosen ones started to exist
To shape the world and teach

Many philosophers came out
Many great scientists sprout
They influence the world with their brilliant mind
Just like opening the eyes of a blind

The evolution of man demands for transformation
From Homo-Sapiens to a full civilized person
The more we learn, the more we discover our ignorance
We want to add our knowledge and for our skills to be enhance

Poor man continues to seek for an answer
He even blew up his mind, such a disaster!
Searching for things, trying to prove many things
That causes his suffering that’s never ending.

Don't be a MAYBE!

There were many things in life we're not so sure
All I can say His love is so pure
That every trembling heart and doubtful mind can cure
Don't be a maybe, think wisely!

We have only one life and one chance to live
Prove to the Lord that you deserve what he hath give
Accept the test, have faith and believe
Don't be a maybe, think carefully!

If you'll die today, do know where to go?
In heaven or in hell say it, be it yes or be it no!
Figure it out I hope you know, I hope you know
Don't be a maybe, think deeply!

"To see is to believe" you always bear in mind
And yet you leave so many things behind
If you'll change it "to believe is to see" I guarantee,
You'll never be a maybe, have nothing to worry and never be sorry!

The Greatest Gift

Depart from me not my Lord, my God
Deliver me from my enemies,
Armed me with thy great majesty
I can't conquer them without you in me.

Open my eyes and let me see
Lord remember your people including me,
Be my light and be my guide
Hear my cry all through the night.

Grant me thy peace your greatest gift
By prayer and supplication ye shall give,
Now I'm walking following your path
I believe you'll soon grant me life that never lasts.

SECOND CHANCE

I'm giving you back all you had given me
For you shall be praised and lifted up not me,
Thank you so much Lord for everything
For the second life and chance you bring.

Take my hand my God once again
Guide my way I will never ran,
Extravagant love you had shown to me
You captured my heart and set me free.

You're truly gracious and full of compassion
Never changing throughout the season,
In return I shall love you with my heart and my soul
Believing I can make it through it all.

My family shall sing and praise you too
And tell them your majestic works I must do,
Hoping they will also be saved
And together in heaven we will parade.

Words of His Wisdom

Words of wisdom, I heard Him say
Meditate my word night and day,
Pray and ask heartily I will give
Only for those who have faith and who believe.

Be still my child and follow my will
Doubt to me not for I am real,
By my grace you're being saved
Work for thy gift don't misbehave.

Offer me your life and body as a sacrifice
It will serve as my home and edifice,
In every battle you face, you shall not fear
For every wound and pain I shall heal.

Rejoice with me 'till the end
Forever and ever for you I will stand,
I will wait for you my child nothing's to late
My father is glad to meet you on heaven's gate.

Beware of Humans

Read the poem by Jack Prellutsky:

The Crocodile
by: Jack Prellutsky

Beware of the crafty crocodile
who beckons you with clever smile
to join him in the river Nile
and swim with him a little while.

His smile is not a friendly smile,
it springs from his dishonest guile
and treacherous reptilian style.
Beware of the Crafty crocodile.

Rewrite the  poem from the Crocodile's perspective?

THE HUMAN
By: Jonel G. Pabro

Dear Crocks, beware to man
They are hazardous not fun
Behold, in their eyes full of hypocrisy;
Killing you is no mercy, no charity

Humans build traps with delicious prey,
Be careful my friend to become their array
Demon’s eye never let go;
If they clutch you, their bludgeons blow.

7x7x7x7

 Grab a 7th book from your bookshelf. Open it up to page 7. Pinpoint the 7th sentence on the page. Begin a poem that begins with that sentence and limit it in length to 7 lines.

Luckily, I picked Charlotte's Web and I turned it immediately at page 7 and look for the 7th sentence "She just sits and stared out of the window" and I entitled it"Carefree".

CAREFREE!

-JonelGallotPabro

She just sits and stared out of the window,
Thinking what a blissful world is tomorrow?
She never mind the things that lies ahead
As she smiles lying to her bed
While gazing at the stars in the sky,
She never forgets to pray up high
Here comes again the sun rise, full of hope she arise.

The Only Tree Left

By: Jonel G. Pabro

Born again, a brand new seed
Watered with hope, it sprouted indeed
It grows mightily in the forest through His will
And no disaster can break it still

By His plans its branches are being laid,
Full of leaves that anyone can shade
Birds can land and build their nest;
He gives warm welcome and happiness

Standing so tall creatures great and small,
What a wonderful world He gave us all
By his grace, this tree is blessed;
Night and day it worried less

The fruit it bears is full of goodness,
Taste one you’ll filled with kindness
Maybe two, still not enough for you;
Make it three you’ll set free

The reason why it’s still standing so tall,
 Because it let God manipulate its goal
There are many trees like this before;
But nothing left just him no more!

This tree is not ordinary but one of a kind,
Full of love that can heal the heart and mind
No wonder that it’s the only tree left standing
Cause it never forgets God and keeps on praying.

A Mother's Love

She’s the first woman, whom I always love
Given to me by God from up above
She carried me nine months inside her;
Taking care of me ‘till now I get older

She’s always there to make me happy,
Whenever I’m so sad and weary
The kindle light that guides me and will never fade;
She’s most beautiful like that of jade

She's more than a treasure to me,
More than a hero you fly on free
She’s caring, loving and understanding;
That’s why I love her so much she’s amazing

I can still recall when I’m a little kid,
The times I got hurt I cried and bleed
She’s the one who pull me up so quickly;
The best mom in the world I’m so lucky

I can’t imagine life without her,
Cause everything turns cold like in December
For a mother’s love is so tender and warm;
When I’m in her arms I feel can no harm

She’s the only reason I keep on fighting,
To continue dreaming and believing
Every time I see her smiling face;
The pains in my heart easily efface

I love my mother more than anything,
For without her like Christ, I am nothing
I will do my very best to make her proud;
Cause I don’t want to see her cry out loud.

(Dedicated to my mother, Carmelita G. Pabro)

BROKEN VOW

I told myself not to say goodbye,
But one day I did and I wonder why?
How can I possibly stay?
If he keeps on pushing me away

I know my friend I brought too much pain inside you,
And so goodbye is all we can do
Those words of yours I encounter rarely;
It cuts my veins and my heart deeply

Saying goodbye is the saddest thing I know,
And the most difficult part is to let you go
Don't you remember the times we spent together;
The good bonding we have as true brother

I can still recall that day you had promised me,
No way to forget 'till we have our own family
You make believe that those words of yours are true;
But when I’m so down where were you?

As time passed and season changed
The pain you created I still felt it so strange
I long to hear your voice that always call;
Late at night in my dreams I cried and fall

As I watch the setting of the sun
I just keep in my mind that you’re gone, gone, gone!
That you’re happy wherever you are;
As well as am as I follow the star

The dreams we have before I will never let go,
Though we parted our ways for us to grow
Always bear in your mind what I have promised;
That in my heart you will never vanish!

THE DECODERS (BSE English Batch 2014)

Here comes the walking encyclopedia,
Knows many things about the media
Mark Angelo is a book worm in school;
Collecting many books he finds it cool

Look at this demure woman named Emy,
She’s very religious yet so lovely
A genuine person that generously give;
For it makes her heart so relieve

 Simple glance might be confusing for you,
He’s a man but acting like a woman do
Ericson maybe a soft hearted man;
But always a good friend and never ran

And so did her, this gorgeous lady,
Clarissa is terrible like a baby
Her beauty is beyond incomparable;
Garbled hair makes her shine like a marble

This friend of mine is full of mystery,
Jeffrey never mentioned his story
Also known who has an intelligent mind;
But always left many things behind

How lovely seeing those red lips of her,
Truly like a rose bud that sprung in summer
This pretty girl named Charmaine Subia;
Always interchangeably as Sharmaine De Luna

He’s a boy full of guts in learning,
And very devoted in studying
Roy maybe is not good as what you think he is;
But a very hardworking the bees

She is also known as a sexy maiden,
Sharmaine de Luna belongs’ Eden
I think she had eaten everything;
But still not enough, she needs more building

Donna dela Cruz is such a joker,
But sometimes I find her bitter
Though I laugh at most of her stuff;
But she often makes make my head puff

Cheerful jolly but sometimes crazy,
This juicy girl named Melly
Deeply in love to our handsome professor;
That gave strong sense of humor

Everyone is listening when she started to speak,
Don’t look at her face you might tuned into freak
May Ann is a girl with a gentle voice;
Always beautiful and never lose her poise

She is chubby but also a cute one,
This young woman always love to have fun
Jaquelou dela Cruz doesn’t want to be stress;
Or else she’ll end up so depress

Golden voice we call to her,
Richelle dela Cruz like no other
She’s fun of memorizing her lines;
And has a curly hair like vines

So energetic is she,
Bernadette is a fighter like me
Every single act of her seems so amazing;
Like a thunder in the sky, blazing

Her gleaming eyes and candied smile is has deceived me;
Erica Sardenia is such a pretty lady
She’s very kind caring and understanding
But also dedicated in studying

These people are all my company;
In fulfilling my wonderful journey
Forever they will remain in my heart and mind
Like the pages of the book that together binds

For I am just but a simple man,
Whose passion is singing and writing to have fun
Truly yours, Jonel Gallot Pabro
Friend of yours yesterday, today and tomorrow!

MY EXTRAORDINARY TEACHER

She’s our second mother in school;
And our adviser that's very cool
Her heart is devoted in teaching;
Always inspiring and encouraging

One that never brags any of her achievement;
Knows what's best and an eminent
She gives care and comfort to us;
Always the one whom we can trust

Innovation and perfection she preserves;
Biased and subjectivity you can never observe
Always assuring her students to learn;
Wishing they have something to earn

She never leaves someone in her class;
Instead open our minds and discuss
I’m not the only person gaining from her;
 Because of her many student have prosper

The things she taught to us will always remember;
Inscribed here in my memory forever
I wish someday I could be successful like her;
Very dedicated and a full-fledged teacher

I’m feeling sorry and sometimes my guilt last;
For always coming late to her class
How I wish madam I could tell you;
How much I appreciate your value

But for now all I can say is thank you;
THANK YOU! For everything you do
You have no idea how much you’ve changed us;
Towards our future that is vast!

(Dedicated to Mrs. Genalyn L. Capelo)

Nothing Lasts Forever

Young faces later gets old,
Unlike silver, platinum and gold
Silky smooth skin will stretch and fold:
Compared to clay you can shine and mold

Memories will easily fade away,
As fast as night turns to a day
Eyeball vision began to blurred and turn to gray;
Like the sun setting from the bay

Soon you’ll lost the ability to hear,
In dying you have a lot of fear
And suddenly in yours eyes a tear;
And you always isolate yourself from the peer

In the racking chair you sit all alone,
No other company but your own
A lot of pain you feel and you moan;
Seems every day, every night you groan

 Knees are getting weaker and you could hardly stood,
And you have a sudden change of mood
Most of the time you don’t feel good;
Easily lost your appetite for food

Getting old is very dainty,
Nothing lasts forever believe me!
Soon everything will perish and shatter in debris;
Cause this world is being cursed by God almighty!
