A Mother's Love

She’s the first woman, whom I always love
Given to me by God from up above
She carried me nine months inside her;
Taking care of me ‘till now I get older

She’s always there to make me happy,
Whenever I’m so sad and weary
The kindle light that guides me and will never fade;
She’s most beautiful like that of jade

She's more than a treasure to me,
More than a hero you fly on free
She’s caring, loving and understanding;
That’s why I love her so much she’s amazing

I can still recall when I’m a little kid,
The times I got hurt I cried and bleed
She’s the one who pull me up so quickly;
The best mom in the world I’m so lucky

I can’t imagine life without her,
Cause everything turns cold like in December
For a mother’s love is so tender and warm;
When I’m in her arms I feel can no harm

She’s the only reason I keep on fighting,
To continue dreaming and believing
Every time I see her smiling face;
The pains in my heart easily efface

I love my mother more than anything,
For without her like Christ, I am nothing
I will do my very best to make her proud;
Cause I don’t want to see her cry out loud.

(Dedicated to my mother, Carmelita G. Pabro)

BROKEN VOW

I told myself not to say goodbye,
But one day I did and I wonder why?
How can I possibly stay?
If he keeps on pushing me away

I know my friend I brought too much pain inside you,
And so goodbye is all we can do
Those words of yours I encounter rarely;
It cuts my veins and my heart deeply

Saying goodbye is the saddest thing I know,
And the most difficult part is to let you go
Don't you remember the times we spent together;
The good bonding we have as true brother

I can still recall that day you had promised me,
No way to forget 'till we have our own family
You make believe that those words of yours are true;
But when I’m so down where were you?

As time passed and season changed
The pain you created I still felt it so strange
I long to hear your voice that always call;
Late at night in my dreams I cried and fall

As I watch the setting of the sun
I just keep in my mind that you’re gone, gone, gone!
That you’re happy wherever you are;
As well as am as I follow the star

The dreams we have before I will never let go,
Though we parted our ways for us to grow
Always bear in your mind what I have promised;
That in my heart you will never vanish!

THE DECODERS (BSE English Batch 2014)

Here comes the walking encyclopedia,
Knows many things about the media
Mark Angelo is a book worm in school;
Collecting many books he finds it cool

Look at this demure woman named Emy,
She’s very religious yet so lovely
A genuine person that generously give;
For it makes her heart so relieve

 Simple glance might be confusing for you,
He’s a man but acting like a woman do
Ericson maybe a soft hearted man;
But always a good friend and never ran

And so did her, this gorgeous lady,
Clarissa is terrible like a baby
Her beauty is beyond incomparable;
Garbled hair makes her shine like a marble

This friend of mine is full of mystery,
Jeffrey never mentioned his story
Also known who has an intelligent mind;
But always left many things behind

How lovely seeing those red lips of her,
Truly like a rose bud that sprung in summer
This pretty girl named Charmaine Subia;
Always interchangeably as Sharmaine De Luna

He’s a boy full of guts in learning,
And very devoted in studying
Roy maybe is not good as what you think he is;
But a very hardworking the bees

She is also known as a sexy maiden,
Sharmaine de Luna belongs’ Eden
I think she had eaten everything;
But still not enough, she needs more building

Donna dela Cruz is such a joker,
But sometimes I find her bitter
Though I laugh at most of her stuff;
But she often makes make my head puff

Cheerful jolly but sometimes crazy,
This juicy girl named Melly
Deeply in love to our handsome professor;
That gave strong sense of humor

Everyone is listening when she started to speak,
Don’t look at her face you might tuned into freak
May Ann is a girl with a gentle voice;
Always beautiful and never lose her poise

She is chubby but also a cute one,
This young woman always love to have fun
Jaquelou dela Cruz doesn’t want to be stress;
Or else she’ll end up so depress

Golden voice we call to her,
Richelle dela Cruz like no other
She’s fun of memorizing her lines;
And has a curly hair like vines

So energetic is she,
Bernadette is a fighter like me
Every single act of her seems so amazing;
Like a thunder in the sky, blazing

Her gleaming eyes and candied smile is has deceived me;
Erica Sardenia is such a pretty lady
She’s very kind caring and understanding
But also dedicated in studying

These people are all my company;
In fulfilling my wonderful journey
Forever they will remain in my heart and mind
Like the pages of the book that together binds

For I am just but a simple man,
Whose passion is singing and writing to have fun
Truly yours, Jonel Gallot Pabro
Friend of yours yesterday, today and tomorrow!

MY EXTRAORDINARY TEACHER

She’s our second mother in school;
And our adviser that's very cool
Her heart is devoted in teaching;
Always inspiring and encouraging

One that never brags any of her achievement;
Knows what's best and an eminent
She gives care and comfort to us;
Always the one whom we can trust

Innovation and perfection she preserves;
Biased and subjectivity you can never observe
Always assuring her students to learn;
Wishing they have something to earn

She never leaves someone in her class;
Instead open our minds and discuss
I’m not the only person gaining from her;
 Because of her many student have prosper

The things she taught to us will always remember;
Inscribed here in my memory forever
I wish someday I could be successful like her;
Very dedicated and a full-fledged teacher

I’m feeling sorry and sometimes my guilt last;
For always coming late to her class
How I wish madam I could tell you;
How much I appreciate your value

But for now all I can say is thank you;
THANK YOU! For everything you do
You have no idea how much you’ve changed us;
Towards our future that is vast!

(Dedicated to Mrs. Genalyn L. Capelo)

Nothing Lasts Forever

Young faces later gets old,
Unlike silver, platinum and gold
Silky smooth skin will stretch and fold:
Compared to clay you can shine and mold

Memories will easily fade away,
As fast as night turns to a day
Eyeball vision began to blurred and turn to gray;
Like the sun setting from the bay

Soon you’ll lost the ability to hear,
In dying you have a lot of fear
And suddenly in yours eyes a tear;
And you always isolate yourself from the peer

In the racking chair you sit all alone,
No other company but your own
A lot of pain you feel and you moan;
Seems every day, every night you groan

 Knees are getting weaker and you could hardly stood,
And you have a sudden change of mood
Most of the time you don’t feel good;
Easily lost your appetite for food

Getting old is very dainty,
Nothing lasts forever believe me!
Soon everything will perish and shatter in debris;
Cause this world is being cursed by God almighty!

FANTASY vs. REALITY

I wonder what are the things that satisfy me?
That gave me a feeling of hunky–dory

Is it in the state of being in love?
Or being a free one like a dove

Life is full of memories joy and laughter,
But not for us to be jolly forever
Cause many people will criticize and put you down;
But you must still manage to smile like a clown

I’ve always been a kind of loquacious person,
Thinking and doing things for a reason
Most of the time you can see me smiling;
Look deeply into my heart it’s screaming and crying

My family is enough to accompany m in pain,
Flying out with my friends makes me regain
They are the people whom I always treasure;
They give me love you can never measure

Every time that I needed someone’s help,
Nobody around me I’m all by myself
Lately I felt someone sits beside me and holds my hand;
God said: Son, I’ve never been absent forever and ever for you will I stand

I usually share my thoughts and feelings to others,
But sometimes I don’t mind to bother
What I did is I keep them all along;
That makes me sing many songs

Like a child I always dreamed being in fairy tale,
Where happy endings never fail
Always believe that impossible can be possible;
And you can make things unbelievable, believable!

A Meeting with Success

So patient is me,
Waiting for my victory
 Trying to fulfill the destiny;
That prolongs my pain and agony

I can’t stop or even quit,
But I still acknowledge defeat
In many battles I face sometimes I retreat;
But I return with courage that will never beat

There are many things I wanted to try,
But I’m afraid I might stumble and cry
I wiped my tears and let them dry;
And think of those experiences that money can’t buy

I don’t want my life to be miserable,
I still believe that God is able
No matter how things are impossible;
I must need to be humble

Sweet success please be mine,
Like a moment that is so divine
Like the music that will never pine;
And like the word you can never define

If tomorrow never comes for me,
I shall say meeting success is painfully
Full of hope I must stand and see;
How success will set me free!

STUDENT

So much to think and so much to do,
I don't know if I can still make it through
I can pause and stop but I can never give up;
Should I continue it with a sigh or pray up high

Pressure, stress and confusion,
Are my best friends in my education
Who told you being a student is easy?
Never my friend, believe me!

You can’t learn all things in school;
Cause sometimes your teacher is a fool
Some act like a thief in your class;
 Stealing your time instead to discuss

You sit, you listen and you talk,
But your mind is absent for a walk
You read, you think and you write;
To light up your mind and ignite

You smile, you laugh and you cry;
After reminiscing the times gone by
You invest your time and effort in studying;
Even though you lack time in sleeping

You cram in reviewing your lessons,
Aiming to pass all your examinations
Every student dream is to graduate;
And for their parents to celebrate

See? Being a student is never easy,
Patience, perseverance and positivity
These words must be present in your vocabulary;
For you can only meet SUCCESS if you have given your best!

3 nails, 2 woods, 1 cross

I heard someone’s voice calling me,
I turn my head but none to see
Should I ignore it or be afraid;
No! He said I’m the one you have prayed

Whenever I’m weary and sad,
Seems everything around me gone bad and I’m mad
I only shouted his name in the middle wilderness;
There he came for me and I’m so blessed

A holy ghost came down from heaven to earth
Bear by a virgin and gave birth
A man that’s full of courage and bravery;
Died for you and me in the Calvary

A life giver, a saver and a redeemer
For all believer and unbeliever
Put your faith in him He will not fail you;
Whatever life might brings you through

Call him a friend, a dad or a king;
He always accompany me when I sing
I worshiped him with psalms and hymns;
Offering my life and everything

The man who came a thousand years ago;
Jesus Christ his name I hope you know
For all this things was done for you;
With 3 nails, 2 woods, in 1 cross its true!

SOLITARY MAN

Oh dear! Precious love of mine,
Why art thou leaved me behind
Never thought you’ll change for an instance;
But you keep yourself in a distance.

Why is love being so unfair to me?
Stupid cupid had captured me
I try to wake myself in this reverie;
But I can’t help falling in love with thee.

Hate me not for loving thee, young lady,
For what I feel and say is naturally
Millions of people had found their destiny;
Truly, I shall say we were meant to be

We see each other day-by-day,
Like the sun and the moon chasing all the way
Every night I find time to pray;
Telling God to guide thee in your way

Gleaming eyes and candied smile has deceived me,
Like a sin that’s always tempted thee
I will never compel thee to love me;
But I will wait in time patiently

I believe that someday and somehow,
We’ll meet each other and take our vow
And if these things will not come true;
Keep my promise, I will wait for you!

Who's Your Master?

In a world where both light and dark exist,
Good and evil fights, full of twist

What servant would you like to become?

To surpass the trials you long to overcome

We must choose only one between God and money,
But be careful in picking you might be sorry
Humans can’t serve two masters at a time;
To give their loyalty to the one that sublime

It's difficult to deal with suffering and tribulation,
Eyes is easily deceive by many temptation
Remember that evil is like a lion that always watch;
You’ll never know when you will be catch

Be filled with the Holy Spirit,
Believe in God with no limit
Be filled with the fruits of Righteousness;
Always choose Godliness

Be filled with the knowledge of his will and wisdom
For you to inherit his eternal kingdom
Be filled with the fullness of the Lord;
Pray night and day and meditate His word

Replace the old man inside you,
Say no to sin, be reinvigorated and renew
Let not your past hunt you down;
It's not too late to change before you drown

Believe in God he can transform you,
Towards a good man you're suppose too

Believe in Christ he'll grant you eternal life;
Because God is waiting in heaven with a big surprise!
